The National LGBTI Health Alliance is able to offer a limited number of scholarships designed to enable access and participation for the greatest possible diversity of conference delegates. The principal purpose of scholarships is to assist people who are financially disadvantaged and would otherwise be unable to attend the conference.
Applications are welcome from all people who are in some way involved in the diverse LGBTI communities in Australia Applicants who are members of one of the following groups are particularly encouraged:
- people and/or carers with lived experience of mental illness
- volunteers working in mental health and suicide prevention
- LGBTI volunteer community leaders
- sista girl,
- Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people,
- culturally or linguistically diverse people
- rural or remote communities
- low income earners

The Alliance reserves the right to offer part scholarships or to propose alternative arrangements

There are two types of scholarships available
- Registration Scholarships:
Covers the registration fee for attendance at the two days of the conference.
- Travel Scholarships:
Return economy travel from your closest airport to Sydney*
Accommodation in Sydney while attending the Conference
Meal Allowance to cover breakfast and dinner on while attending the conference
*Air Travel & Accommodation Policy:
The National LGBTI Health Alliance will pay for the cheapest return economy seat from your closest airport to Sydney. While your airline preferences will try to be accommodated, the Alliance reserves the right to book flights on another airline to obtain a cheaper fare. The Alliance will book and pay for accommodation for Thursday night and breakfast on Friday. All other expenses (e.g. phone, mini bar, internet) must be paid by the scholarship recipient. Additional accommodation and breakfast will only be provided if there is a need to travel the night before in order to arrive in time for the start of the conference or return travel is not possible in the Friday evening after the conference. Once the reservations have been made, any changes to travel or accommodations must be done through the Alliance.
